AB Bank DMD arrested in fraud case

Police have detained Abdur Rahman, deputy managing director (DMD) of AB Bank, in a fraud case that was filed today.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner (Gulshan zone), Newton Das, confirmed the news for The Daily Star this afternoon.

"He was arrested from his Gulshan residence in Dhaka around 8:30am today," the police stated.

"An arrest warrant was issued against the AB Bank DMD in a fraud case filed by Bazlur Rashid, following which he was arrested today," said the source.
